| 1After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: | 1After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. |
| 2Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. | 2There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. |
| 3Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. | 3Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. |
| 4But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. | 4But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. |
| 5Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” | 5Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. |
| 6And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. | 6And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. | 7Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. | 7Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. |
| 8But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. | 8And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. |
| 9Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. | 9As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. |

| 12Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. | 12Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. |
| 13Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. | 13Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. |
| 14This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead. | 14This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. |
| 15So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” | 15So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. |
| 16He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” | 16He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. |
| 17He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. | 17He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. |
| 18Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” | 18Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. |
| 19This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.” | 19This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. |
| 20Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” | 20Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? |
| 21Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” | 21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? |
| 22Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” | 22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. |
| 23Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?” | 23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? |
| 24This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. | 24This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. |
| 25And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. | 25And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
