“Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them.1"The tabernacle itself you are to make with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet; you are to make them with cherubim that are the work of an artistic designer.
The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. And every one of the curtains shall have the same measurements.2The length of each curtain is to be forty-two feet, and the width of each curtain is to be six feet--the same size for each of the curtains.
Five curtains shall be coupled to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.3Five curtains are to be joined, one to another, and the other five curtains are to be joined, one to another.
And you shall make loops of blue yarn on the edge of the curtain on the selvedge of one set, and likewise you shall do on the outer edge of the other curtain of the second set.4You are to make loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and in the same way you are to make loops in the outer edge of the end curtain in the second set.
Fifty loops you shall make in the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is on the end of the second set, that the loops may be clasped to one another.5You are to make fifty loops on the one curtain, and you are to make fifty loops on the end curtain which is on the second set, so that the loops are opposite one to another.
And you shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains together with the clasps, so that it may be one tabernacle.6You are to make fifty gold clasps and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle is a unit.
“You shall also make curtains of goats’ hair, to be a tent over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.7"You are to make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you are to make eleven curtains.
The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; and the eleven curtains shall all have the same measurements.8The length of each curtain is to be forty-five feet, and the width of each curtain is to be six feet--the same size for the eleven curtains.
And you shall couple five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves, and you shall double over the sixth curtain at the forefront of the tent.9You are to join five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves. You are to double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.
You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain of the second set.10You are to make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in one set and fifty loops along the edge of the curtain that joins the second set.
And you shall make fifty bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.11You are to make fifty bronze clasps and put the clasps into the loops and join the tent together so that it is a unit.
The remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.12Now the part that remains of the curtains of the tent--the half curtain that remains will hang over at the back of the tabernacle.
And a cubit on one side and a cubit on the other side, of what remains of the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and on that side, to cover it.13The foot and a half on the one side and the foot and a half on the other side of what remains in the length of the curtains of the tent will hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on one side and the other side, to cover it.
“You shall also make a covering of ram skins dyed red for the tent, and a covering of badger skins above that.14"You are to make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red and over that a covering of fine leather.
“And for the tabernacle you shall make the boards of acacia wood, standing upright.15"You are to make the frames for the tabernacle out of acacia wood as uprights.
Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the width of each board.16Each frame is to be fifteen feet long, and each frame is to be two feet three inches wide,
Two tenons shall be in each board for binding one to another. Thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.17with two projections per frame parallel one to another. You are to make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.
And you shall make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side.18So you are to make the frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side,
You shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards: two sockets under each of the boards for its two tenons.19and you are to make forty silver bases to go under the twenty frames--two bases under the first frame for its two projections, and likewise two bases under the next frame for its two projections;
And for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, there shall be twenty boards20and for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, twenty frames,
and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under each of the boards.21and their forty silver bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.
For the far side of the tabernacle, westward, you shall make six boards.22And for the back of the tabernacle on the west you will make six frames.
And you shall also make two boards for the two back corners of the tabernacle.23You are to make two frames for the corners of the tabernacle on the back.
They shall be coupled together at the bottom and they shall be coupled together at the top by one ring. Thus it shall be for both of them. They shall be for the two corners.24At the two corners they must be doubled at the lower end and finished together at the top in one ring. So it will be for both.
So there shall be eight boards with their sockets of silver—sixteen sockets—two sockets under each of the boards.25So there are to be eight frames and their silver bases, sixteen bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.
“And you shall make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle,26"You are to make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,
five bars for the boards on the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the far side westward.27and five bars for the frames on the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames on the back of the tabernacle on the west.
The middle bar shall pass through the midst of the boards from end to end.28The middle bar in the center of the frames will reach from end to end.
You shall overlay the boards with gold, make their rings of gold as holders for the bars, and overlay the bars with gold.29You are to overlay the frames with gold and make their rings of gold to provide places for the bars, and you are to overlay the bars with gold.
And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.30You are to set up the tabernacle according to the plan that you were shown on the mountain.
“You shall make a veil woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen. It shall be woven with an artistic design of cherubim.31"You are to make a special curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen; it is to be made with cherubim, the work of an artistic designer.
You shall hang it upon the four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be gold, upon four sockets of silver.32You are to hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold, set in four silver bases.
And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.33You are to hang this curtain under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony in there behind the curtain. The curtain will make a division for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.
You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy.34You are to put the atonement lid on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.
You shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand across from the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and you shall put the table on the north side.35You are to put the table outside the curtain and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle, opposite the table, and you are to place the table on the north side.
“You shall make a screen for the door of the tabernacle, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver.36"You are to make a hanging for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer.
And you shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold; their hooks shall be gold, and you shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.37You are to make for the hanging five posts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, and their hooks will be gold, and you are to cast five bronze bases for them.
