Psalm 120
NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Standard Bible
1I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.1A song of ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.
2Rescue me, O LORD, from liars and from all deceitful people.2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.
3O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment?3What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue?
4You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals.4Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree!
5How I suffer in far-off Meshech. It pains me to live in distant Kedar.5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!
6I am tired of living among people who hate peace.6Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.
7I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war!7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.
