New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, LORD, and help me.1For the choirmaster. Of David. To bring remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Hurry, O LORD, to help me!
May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.2May those who seek my life be ashamed and confounded; may those who wish me harm be repelled and humiliated.
Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”3May those who say, “Aha, aha!” retreat because of their shame.
But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”4May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation always say, “Let God be magnified!”
But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God. You are my helper and my savior; O LORD, do not delay.5But I am poor and needy; hurry to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay.
