New Living TranslationHolman Christian Standard Bible
Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, LORD, and help me.1For the choir director. Davidic. To bring remembrance. God, deliver me. Hurry to help me, LORD!
May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.2Let those who seek my life be disgraced and confounded; let those who wish me harm be driven back and humiliated.
Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”3Let those who say, "Aha, aha!" retreat because of their shame.
But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”4Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; let those who love Your salvation continually say, "God is great!"
But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God. You are my helper and my savior; O LORD, do not delay.5I am afflicted and needy; hurry to me, God. You are my help and my deliverer; LORD, do not delay.
