Apply "with Him" daily: how?
How can we apply the principle of being "with Him" in our daily walk?

The Foundation: Mark 3:14

“He appointed twelve—designating them apostles—to be with Him, and to send them out to preach.”

What “with Him” Signifies

• Relationship before responsibility—union precedes usefulness

• Continual presence, not occasional visits

• Dependence on His strength rather than self-reliance (John 15:4-5)

• Delighting in fellowship that fuels obedience (John 14:23)

Daily Rhythms of Being with Him

• Scripture first: open His Word before you open your phone (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:105)

• Ongoing conversation: “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

• Immediate obedience: respond to every prompting of Scripture right away (James 1:22)

• Worship in the mundane: fold laundry, write emails, drive—“whatever you do…do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17)

• Evening reflection: review the day with gratitude, confess sin quickly (1 John 1:9)

At Home

• Speak His words aloud—read a Psalm during breakfast

• Turn household tasks into moments of praise; sing or play worship music

• Model forgiveness and humility; reconcile conflicts before sunset (Ephesians 4:26)

At Work or School

• Begin projects with a whispered prayer for wisdom (James 1:5)

• Keep a verse card on your desk; glance at it when stress rises (Isaiah 41:10)

• Treat every coworker or classmate as someone Jesus loves (John 13:34)

In the Church Community

• Arrive early to greet, stay after to listen—presence mirrors Christ’s nearness

• Serve where needs are obvious rather than waiting for perfect fit (Galatians 5:13)

• Share personal stories of His daily faithfulness; testimony strengthens the body (Revelation 12:11)

When Trials Hit

• Recall His promise: “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20)

• Anchor thoughts in Psalm 16:8—“I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

• Lean on fellow believers for prayer; Christ often ministers through His people (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

The Promised Outcome

• Peace that overrides circumstances (Philippians 4:6-7)

• Fruit that lasts—love, joy, peace, and more, produced by His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)

• Confidence at His return, having walked closely with Him (1 John 2:28)

Walk through today conscious of the One who appointed you first “to be with Him.” Everything else flows from there.
