How can believers bless You?
In what ways can believers "bless You" through their actions and words?

Key Verse

“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.” (Psalm 34:1)

What “Bless the LORD” Really Means

• “Bless” (Heb. barak) speaks of kneeling in reverence, declaring God’s worth, and responding in grateful worship.

• It is more than polite words; it is an overflow of a heart captured by who God is (Psalm 103:1–2).

• Our lips and lives together become a living doxology (Hebrews 13:15).

Ways Our Words Bless Him

• Continual Praise – Voice gratitude in every circumstance (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

• Scripture on Our Tongues – Quote and sing His Word (Colossians 3:16).

• Edifying Speech – Speak what builds up others; slander and coarse talk grieve Him (Ephesians 4:29).

• Confession of His Name – Publicly own Christ (Romans 10:9–10; Psalm 96:3).

• Blessing Others – “We bless our Lord and Father” when we also bless people made in His likeness (James 3:9–10).

Ways Our Actions Bless Him

• Loving Obedience – “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15).

• Acts of Mercy – Showing kindness to “the least of these” is service rendered to Christ Himself (Matthew 25:40).

• Pure Living – Holiness showcases His character to a watching world (1 Peter 1:15–16).

• Justice and Humility – Do what is right, love mercy, walk humbly (Micah 6:8).

• Generous Giving – Offer time, talent, treasure as fragrant sacrifices (Philippians 4:18).

• Faith-Fueled Good Works – Let light shine so others glorify the Father (Matthew 5:16).

Daily Practices That Keep Praise Flowing

• Begin each morning by voicing one specific attribute of God you cherish.

• Keep a running gratitude list; review it aloud when discouragement knocks.

• Memorize a short psalm and recite it on commute or walk breaks.

• Turn routine tasks into worship by whispering thanks for God’s provision.

• Before sleep, ask: “Did my words and deeds today make much of Jesus?”
