How can we be strong daily?
How can we "be strong and do it" in our daily walk?

Setting the Scene

1 Chronicles 28:10: “Consider now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.”

David repeats the charge in 28:20, assuring Solomon of God’s nearness. In both verses, strength and action are welded together—courage plus obedience. That pairing still shapes our daily walk.

What “Be Strong” Looks Like

•Steady confidence in God’s character, not in ourselves (Psalm 27:1)

•Mind renewed by Scripture, pushing back fear (Romans 12:2)

•Inner resolve supplied by the Spirit, not human grit (Ephesians 3:16)

What “Do It” Requires

•Active obedience: moving from intention to motion (James 1:22)

•Whole-hearted effort, not half-measures (Colossians 3:23)

•Persistence until the task is finished (Galatians 6:9)

Daily Practices That Build Strength and Spur Action

•Word intake: start and end the day with at least one clear command or promise; meditate until it fuels faith (Psalm 1:2–3).

•Prayerful dependence: ask specifically for strength before each responsibility (Hebrews 4:16).

•Spirit-led decisions: pause and invite His guidance when choices appear (Romans 8:14).

•Small faithful steps: break big assignments into doable pieces—then tackle the first piece today (Proverbs 16:3).

•Encouraging fellowship: share goals with a mature believer who will cheer and challenge you (Hebrews 10:24–25).

•Guarded thought life: reject discouraging “what-ifs” with truth-filled “God says” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

•End-of-day review: thank God for completed actions, confess where you stalled, and plan tomorrow’s first step (Lamentations 3:22–23).

Promises That Keep Us Moving

•“The LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

•“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

•“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power” (Ephesians 6:10).

Typical Roadblocks—and God’s Remedies

•Fear of failure → Remember His unfailing presence (1 Chronicles 28:20).

•Fatigue → Rest in His provision and honor Sabbath rhythms (Matthew 11:28–30).

•Distraction → Fix eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of faith (Hebrews 12:1–2).

•Compromise → Recall you are chosen for holy work, just as Solomon was (1 Peter 2:9).

Living It Out Today

1.Identify one assignment God has clearly placed before you.

2.Read 1 Chronicles 28:10 aloud, inserting your task after “to.”

3.Pray for strength, then act on the first concrete step within the next hour.

4.When finished, thank Him and record how His strength showed up.

5.Repeat tomorrow.

God has chosen you for good works (Ephesians 2:10). So, be strong—and do it.

What responsibilities come with being 'chosen' as described in 1 Chronicles 28:10?
