How can we share God's great deeds?
In what ways can we testify about "great things" God has done for us?

The Core Verse

“The LORD has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.” (Psalm 126:3)

The Mandate to Speak Up

• “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the foe” (Psalm 107:2)

• “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how He has had mercy on you.” (Mark 5:19)

God’s people are never meant to keep His works private; testimony is a God-given assignment.

Practical Ways to Testify about His Great Things

• Personal storytelling

– Share before-and-after snapshots of salvation, healing, answered prayer, or daily provision.

– Keep it simple: what life was, what God did, what life is now.

• Everyday conversations

– Slip statements of gratitude into routine talk: “The Lord provided exactly what we needed yesterday.”

– Treat God’s interventions as real events, not religious jargon.

• Public worship

– Volunteer to read a Scripture, introduce a hymn, or share a brief praise report.

– Sing enthusiastically; lyrics packed with truth become communal testimony (Colossians 3:16).

• Written witness

– Journal God’s works; post excerpts on social media, letters, blogs.

– Preserve family faith stories for the next generation (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

• Acts of service

– Meet tangible needs, then explain the motive: “Christ served me first” (John 13:14-15).

– Partner service with spoken or printed Scripture so love and truth travel together.

• Hospitality

– Invite neighbors for a meal; weave in how God has blessed your home (1 Peter 4:9-11).

– Use your table as a platform for recounting His goodness.

• Life choices that shout

– Ethical decisions at work, purity in relationships, joy in trials all spark curiosity (1 Peter 3:15).

– When asked “Why?” point directly to God’s great works in you.

Power Behind the Witness

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8).

Testifying is not self-promotion; it’s Spirit-empowered declaration of what the living God still does.

Fuel for Ongoing Testimony

Remembering breeds rejoicing, and rejoicing spills over into witness. Keep a running record of His great things so fresh praise is always on your lips (Psalm 103:2).

How does Psalm 126:2 connect with Philippians 4:4 about rejoicing in the Lord?
