How can we share this life with others?
What practical steps can we take to share this "life" with others?

Understanding the Call in Acts 5:20

“Go, stand in the temple courts and tell the people all the words of this life.”

The angel’s instruction to the apostles is clear, urgent, and public. Nothing less than the life found in Christ is to be shared—openly and confidently.

Grounding Our Motivation

• Jesus came that we “may have life, and have it in all its fullness” (John 10:10).

• We are “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20), entrusted with a life-giving message.

• The gospel “is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).

Preparing Our Hearts

• Abide daily in the Word (John 15:4). We cannot give what we do not possess.

• Pray for boldness, following the early church’s example (Acts 4:29-31).

• Keep short accounts with God; a cleansed heart makes for a clear witness (1 John 1:9).

Practical Steps for Sharing This Life

• Start where you are

– Speak naturally about Christ in everyday settings—work, neighborhood, family gatherings.

– Like the healed man in Mark 5:19, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.”

• Use Scripture openly

– Quote or read verses aloud; God’s Word carries its own authority (Hebrews 4:12).

– Memorize concise gospel passages (e.g., Romans 3:23; 6:23; 10:9).

• Live visibly different

– “Shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15) through integrity, joy, and kindness.

– Let observable conduct prompt questions, then point to Christ (1 Peter 3:15).

• Engage in intentional conversations

– Ask others about their beliefs and listen well; dialogue opens doors for truth.

– Share your testimony in simple, relatable terms—before Christ, meeting Christ, life in Christ.

• Leverage hospitality

– Invite neighbors for a meal or coffee; warmth lowers defenses (Romans 12:13).

– Offer to study the Bible together; God often works through open Bibles on kitchen tables.

• Serve in practical love

– Meet tangible needs: meals, childcare, rides, errands (Galatians 6:10).

– Acts of mercy validate the message of life in Christ (Matthew 5:16).

• Partner with the local church

– Join outreach events, mission trips, or visitation teams (Hebrews 10:24-25).

– Encourage one another; witnessing is sustained in community (Philippians 1:27).

• Employ modern tools wisely

– Share Scripture graphics, testimonies, or sermons on social platforms.

– Start a short gospel reading plan with friends via a Bible app.

Staying Faithful in the Long Run

• Remember the outcome: “whoever believes has eternal life” (John 6:47).

• Keep sowing; God gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

• Rejoice in small openings, trust the Spirit’s timing, and persevere until He calls us home.
