How can we strengthen our faith to see miracles like in Acts 3:16? The verse that frames our study “By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. Five ways to strengthen miracle-working faith 1. Abide in close fellowship with the Lord • Jesus said, “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7) • Daily worship and personal prayer cultivate the confidence that God both hears and acts. 3. Obey promptly and completely • Peter and John stopped, looked at the lame man, and spoke a command (Acts 3:6-7). Miracles often wait on willing obedience. • “Whatever He tells you, do it.” (John 2:5) 4. Speak the name of Jesus with authority • “In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues…they will place their hands on the sick, and they will be well.” (Mark 16:17-18) • Declare what Scripture promises rather than merely describing circumstances. 5. Persist despite opposition • Abraham “did not waver in unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith.” (Romans 4:20) • Resolve that setbacks will drive you deeper into trust, not into resignation. Guarding against doubt and unbelief • Filter your intake—limit voices that deny God’s power (Mark 5:36). • Stay in community with believers who pray boldly (Hebrews 10:24-25). • Replace every anxious thought with spoken truth from Scripture (Philippians 4:6-8). Living in daily expectation • Begin each day asking, “Lord, where can Your power flow through me today?” • Celebrate every answered prayer, no matter how small; gratitude keeps faith vibrant (Psalm 103:2-3). • Keep records of God’s interventions; past testimonies fuel future faith (Revelation 12:11). As we ground ourselves in His Word, walk closely with Him, act in obedience, proclaim His name, and persevere, the same Jesus who healed through Peter will work through us, and our faith will be strengthened to witness His miracles today. |
