How to mirror Christ daily?
How can believers reflect the heavenly nature of Christ in daily life?

Setting the Foundation

“The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven.” (1 Corinthians 15:47)

What the Verse Declares

• Adam’s nature: earthly, limited, fading

• Christ’s nature: heavenly, eternal, perfect

• Believers have been transferred from Adam’s pattern to Christ’s (1 Corinthians 15:48–49)

Receiving Our Heavenly Identity

• New birth unites us with the “second Man” (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

• Our citizenship is now in heaven (Philippians 3:20)

• We are called to “wear” the new self, “created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:24)

Daily Practices that Mirror Christ’s Nature

• Fix the mind above

– “Set your hearts on things above… not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:1–2)

– Filter entertainment, goals, and conversations through eternity’s lens

• Walk in the Spirit

– Yield to the Spirit’s leading moment by moment (Galatians 5:16–25)

– Replace impulsive reactions with Spirit-produced fruit

• Let Scripture reshape thinking

– Renew the mind daily (Romans 12:2)

– Memorize, meditate, and obey even the small commands

• Practice humble service

– Jesus “came not to be served, but to serve” (Mark 10:45)

– Look for unnoticed needs at home, work, church, and community

• Speak with grace

– “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt” (Colossians 4:6)

– Encourage rather than complain; bless rather than gossip

• Pursue purity

– “Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:3)

– Guard eyes, thoughts, and relationships

• Love sacrificially

– “Walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us” (Ephesians 5:2)

– Give time, resources, and empathy even when inconvenient

Character Traits That Reveal Heaven’s DNA

• Humility (Philippians 2:5–8)

• Compassion (Matthew 9:36)

• Holiness (1 Peter 1:15–16)

• Perseverance (Hebrews 12:1–2)

• Joy (John 15:11)

• Peace (John 14:27)

Remaining Future-Focused

• Remember that “our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17)

• Anticipate the day when we “bear the image of the heavenly” perfectly (1 Corinthians 15:49)

• Live now as previews of that coming reality, letting every choice whisper, “This is what heaven looks like.”
