How to prepare for Judgment Day?
What actions can we take to prepare for God's ultimate judgment day?

The Shaking of the Earth—Isaiah 24:19

“The earth is utterly broken apart, the earth is split open, the earth is shaken violently.”

Why Preparation Matters

• God’s final judgment will be as real and all-encompassing as this global upheaval.

Hebrews 12:26-27 reminds us that God will “shake” all created things “so that the unshakable may remain.”

• Only what is grounded in Christ will stand.

Actions to Prepare for Judgment

• Repent daily. 1 John 1:9—“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us…”

• Place full trust in Jesus Christ alone. Romans 10:9—“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

• Pursue holiness. 2 Peter 3:11—“What kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives.”

• Obey Scripture. James 1:22—“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.”

• Keep short accounts with God and others; forgive quickly. Matthew 6:14-15.

• Cultivate prayer and Bible intake; these are means of grace (Psalm 1:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).

• Gather faithfully with believers for encouragement and accountability (Hebrews 10:24-25).

• Share the gospel while time remains (2 Corinthians 5:11; Acts 1:8).

• Store treasures in heaven, not on earth (Matthew 6:19-21).

• Live watchfully. Matthew 24:42—“Keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”

Cultivate Reverent Fear of the Lord

Proverbs 9:10—“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.”

• A healthy awe keeps us sober, humble, and ready.

Rest in God’s Unshakeable Kingdom

Hebrews 12:28—“Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude.”

• Gratitude fuels joyful endurance even as the world trembles.

Steady Hearts in a Shaking World

Psalm 46:2—“Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled…”

• Our security is not in the stability of the planet but in the promises of our Redeemer.
