How to prioritize Jesus' wisdom daily?
In what ways can we prioritize seeking Jesus' wisdom in daily life?

The Call of Luke 11:31

“The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.” (Luke 11:31)

Recognize the Greater Solomon

• Jesus is the surpassing source of wisdom; His words carry divine authority (Matthew 12:42).

• Reverence for Him is the starting point of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7).

• A settled conviction that Scripture is accurate and literal forms the foundation for seeking His guidance.

Make the Long Journey Daily

• The queen traveled far; we travel by choice of priorities.

• Schedule intentional time with Christ—early mornings, lunch breaks, commutes.

• “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

Immerse Yourself in His Word

• Read: steady portions of Scripture, both Old and New Testaments.

• Study: trace themes, compare passages, use trustworthy commentaries.

• Memorize: store verses for on-the-spot guidance (Psalm 119:11).

• Meditate: linger over a phrase until it shapes thoughts and motives.

• “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you.” (Colossians 3:16)

Ask for Wisdom in Prayerful Dependence

• “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

• Pray before decisions, meetings, conversations—inviting the Spirit to illuminate truth (John 14:26).

• Cultivate listening; leave space in prayer to sense conviction or direction.

Put His Words into Practice

• Obedience opens the door to deeper insight (John 7:17).

• Keep a journal of commands obeyed and faithfulness experienced.

• “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22)

Abide Continually in Christ

• Stay relationally connected: “Whoever remains in Me and I in him will bear much fruit.” (John 15:5)

• Carry Scriptures on your phone, replay worship songs, rehearse promises through the day.

• Moment-by-moment reliance yields moment-by-moment wisdom.

Seek Wisdom in God-Honoring Community

• Gather with believers who revere Scripture (Hebrews 10:24-25).

• Invite counsel from mature Christians; “Iron sharpens iron.” (Proverbs 27:17)

• Submit personal insights to the collective discernment of the body.

Guard Against Competing Voices

• Identify influences that dull spiritual appetite—media, relationships, habits.

• Replace them with inputs that exalt Christ.

• “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception.” (Colossians 2:8)

Celebrate the Fruit of His Wisdom

• Peace that settles anxious hearts (Philippians 4:6-7).

• Discernment that steers clear of sin (Psalm 119:105).

• A life that equips others: “so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:17)

By following the Queen’s example—valuing Jesus’ wisdom above comfort, convenience, and lesser counsel—believers enjoy the guidance of the One greater than Solomon every single day.
