How to reflect God's glory to others?
What steps can we take to ensure others see God's glory through us?

The Heart of the Passage

“the Israelites would see Moses’ face radiant, and Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.” – Exodus 34:35

The shining face of Moses tells a simple story: people notice when someone has truly been with God. Our goal is to let that same glory be evident in daily life so others are drawn to Him.

Step One: Linger in His Presence

• Moses’ glow came after extended time on the mountain (Exodus 34:29).

• Jesus invites the same rhythm: “Abide in Me… apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

Practical helps:

- Guard unhurried time in Scripture and prayer.

- Schedule solitude the way you schedule work.

- Read large portions aloud; listen for prompts to obey immediately.

Step Two: Embrace Immediate Obedience

• Moses carried fresh commandments down the mountain (Exodus 34:28).

• Obedience displays we love Him (John 14:21).

- Turn every new insight into an action step the same day.

- Keep short accounts with God—confess sin quickly.

- Let Scripture, not culture, set your moral boundaries.

Step Three: Keep the Glory Unveiled

• Paul applies Moses’ veil to us: “We all, with unveiled faces, contemplate the glory of the Lord” (2 Colossians 3:18).

• The veil drops when we trust Christ and walk transparently.

- Be honest about weaknesses; give God credit for victories.

- Refuse hypocrisy—what people see should match private life.

- Welcome accountability from mature believers.

Step Four: Shine Through Loving Service

• “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

- Look each day for someone to serve secretly.

- Speak words that build up (Ephesians 4:29).

- Practice hospitality; open your home and table.

Step Five: Cultivate Joyful Holiness

• Holiness is attractive when fueled by joy, not legalism (Psalm 16:11).

- Replace grumbling with gratitude (Philippians 2:14-15).

- Celebrate answered prayer publicly.

- Memorize verses that magnify God’s character; recite them when tempted.

Step Six: Walk in the Spirit’s Power

• Only the Spirit sustains the glow (2 Colossians 3:17).

- Start the day asking Him to fill and lead (Galatians 5:16-25).

- Expect supernatural love, peace, patience to rise in hard moments.

- When you sense conviction, yield instantly; the glory brightens as you stay surrendered.

Summary Snapshot

Presence → Obedience → Transparency → Service → Joyful Holiness → Spirit-Dependence.

Follow this flow and, like Moses, you will not need to announce God’s glory—people will see it radiating through you.

Why did Moses cover his face, and how can we apply this today?
