What actions can we take to resist societal pressures against our beliefs? Jesus forewarned: “You will be hated by all for My name’s sake” (Matthew 10:22). • Acts 5:29—“We must obey God rather than men.” Anticipating backlash steadies the heart. Rely on God’s Presence • Before Gideon acted, the Lord said, “I will be with you” (Judges 6:16). • Hebrews 13:5—“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Confidence flows from His constant nearness. Build a Support System • Gideon enlisted ten servants (Judges 6:27). He wasn’t a lone ranger. • Ecclesiastes 4:12—“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Cultivate friendships that reinforce biblical conviction. Live as a Witness • Joash turned the crowd’s rage back on Baal: “If Baal is a god, let him contend” (Judges 6:31).
