How to share Christ's joy with others?
In what ways can we share Christ's joy with others around us?

Christ’s Joy: The Starting Point

“ I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” (John 15:11)

• These words are literally true; Jesus imparts His own, full joy to every believer.

• We cannot pass on what we do not possess, so sharing begins with receiving.

Staying Connected: Abiding Bears Joyful Fruit

John 15:4-5—abiding in the Vine lets His life flow through us.

John 15:10—obedience keeps joy unhindered.

Psalm 16:11—“in Your presence is fullness of joy.”

1 John 1:4—fellowship with the Father and Son completes joy.

Everyday Ways to Share Christ’s Joy

• Radiate gratitude and praise

– “His praise will always be on my lips.” (Psalm 34:1)

• Speak life-giving words

– “A man finds joy in giving an apt reply.” (Proverbs 15:23)

• Serve sacrificially

– “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

• Offer gospel hope to the lost

– “He has sent Me… to bind up the broken-hearted… to give them the oil of joy.” (Isaiah 61:1-3)

• Encourage fellow believers

– “Let us consider how to spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

• Practice warm hospitality

– “Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)

• Sing and celebrate together

– “Let the word of Christ dwell in you… singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude.” (Colossians 3:16)

• Pray for others’ joy

– “I always pray with joy for all of you.” (Philippians 1:4)

Joy Tested: Trials Become Testimonies

James 1:2-3—counting trials as joy showcases unshakeable faith.

Acts 16:25-34—Paul and Silas sang in prison; their joy led a jailer to salvation.

Guarding What We Share

• Avoid bitterness and complaining (Philippians 2:14-15).

• Confess sin quickly—“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.” (Psalm 51:12).

• Reject worldliness that competes for the heart (1 John 2:15-17).

A Contagious Overflow

When we abide in Christ, His literal, inexhaustible joy overflows—spreading through words of praise, acts of love, steadfast hope in trials, and daily choices that spotlight the goodness of our Savior.
