How to share God's works daily?
How can we "declare how much God has done" in our daily lives?

The Call to Testify—Luke 8:39

“Return home and describe how much God has done for you.”

Jesus’ directive to the delivered man is not a suggestion; it is a commissioning. The same Lord who literally calmed a demoniac calls us to take the concrete, undeniable works He has done in our lives and make them public.

Why Our Declaration Matters

• Obedience honors Christ’s clear command (Luke 8:39).

• Our testimony releases praise: “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so” (Psalm 107:2).

• It points others to salvation: “Let your light shine…that they may glorify your Father” (Matthew 5:16).

• Testimony overcomes the enemy (Revelation 12:11).

• Witnessing fulfills our Spirit-empowered purpose (Acts 1:8).

Practical Ways to Declare Daily

• Speak it

– Integrate short, natural God-stories in everyday conversation.

– When someone shares a struggle, briefly recount how Jesus met you in a similar moment.

– Keep a verse ready; quote it verbatim, letting Scripture speak for itself.

• Serve it

– Meet tangible needs without fanfare; then explain you’re motivated by Christ’s love (1 John 3:18).

– Attach His name to your kindness: “I’m doing this because the Lord has been so good to me.”

• Share it

– Post concise testimonies on social media—focus on what God did, not on self-promotion.

– Text or email answered-prayer updates to friends and family.

• Sing it

– Begin the day with worship music; it naturally spills over into conversations (Psalm 96:2-3).

– Join corporate worship consistently—your vocal praise encourages others to testify.

• Steward it

– Use your budget to showcase God’s priorities. Generosity testifies that He provides (2 Corinthians 9:11).

– Set aside time; a schedule that gives God the first block of every day quietly proclaims His worth.

• Write it

– Keep a running gratitude journal. Reviewing it equips you “to give a defense” (1 Peter 3:15) when someone asks about your hope.

– Send handwritten notes recounting God’s faithfulness to those who impacted your walk.

Cultivating a Ready Heart

• Stay amazed—rehearse the gospel daily.

• Abide in the Word so fresh truths overflow (Colossians 3:16).

• Pray for open doors and boldness (Colossians 4:3-4).

• Listen well; discern where someone’s story intersects with yours.

Overcoming Common Fears

• “I don’t know enough.” – God asks for your story, not a dissertation.

• “What if they reject me?” – They are rejecting Jesus first (Luke 10:16).

• “My past is ugly.” – That contrast magnifies grace; the delivered man of Luke 8 is proof.

• “I might mess up.” – The Spirit will give words at the right moment (Mark 13:11).

Living the Story Continually

• Review daily: “How did I see God act today?”

• Thank Him aloud—gratitude keeps testimony fresh.

• Link every praise report back to the cross; all blessings flow from His finished work.

• Press on; each new act of faith enlarges tomorrow’s testimony (Psalm 71:15-16).
