How to spread Christ's hope globally?
How can we share the hope of Christ with all nations today?

Rooted in Prophecy: A Hope for Every Nation

“Again Isaiah says: ‘There shall be a root of Jesse, One who will arise to rule over the Gentiles; in Him the Gentiles will put their hope.’ ” (Romans 15:12)

Understanding the Promise

• Paul quotes Isaiah 11:10 to show that from the beginning God intended His Messiah to be the worldwide hope.

• The “root of Jesse” is Jesus—literally descended from David, destined to reign over every people group.

• This hope is not vague optimism; it is certain because it rests on the finished work of the cross and the bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

• God’s plan has always included the nations: Genesis 12:3; Psalm 67:2; Revelation 7:9.

Why We Must Share

• Christ’s authority is universal (Matthew 28:18).

• The command is clear: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).

• People are truly lost without Jesus (Acts 4:12).

• Love for God and neighbor demands that we speak (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).

Practical Ways to Share Christ’s Hope Today

Personal witness

• Tell your own salvation story simply and honestly.

• Keep the focus on Jesus—His life, death, and resurrection (Romans 10:9-10).

Scripture saturation

• Carry or share digital Bibles; let the Word speak for itself (Hebrews 4:12).

• Memorize key verses so you can quote them naturally in conversation (Psalm 119:11).

Prayerful dependence

• Pray for open doors and boldness (Colossians 4:3-4).

• Pray by name for friends from other cultures and religions (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

Hospitality

• Invite international neighbors or coworkers into your home; share meals and genuine friendship (Romans 12:13).

• Use cultural celebrations as bridges to explain the gospel’s meaning of hope and redemption.

Partnership with missionaries

• Support sound global missions financially and through regular encouragement (Philippians 4:16-17).

• Consider short-term trips that assist long-term workers and expose you to God’s heart for the nations.

Digital outreach

• Use social media to post Scripture and testimonies in culturally sensitive ways.

• Engage in online forums where spiritual questions are asked; answer graciously (1 Peter 3:15).

Guarding the Message

• Keep the gospel pure—salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

• Avoid diluting the message to gain acceptance; truth and love must walk together (Galatians 1:6-9).

• Recognize and resist cultural pressures that redefine sin or salvation (Jude 3).

Encouragement for Everyday Witness

• God empowers ordinary believers: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses…to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

• Success is faithfulness; the Spirit convicts and converts (John 16:8).

• The mission will succeed—every nation, tribe, people, and tongue will stand before the Lamb (Revelation 7:9-10).

• Therefore, live and speak with confidence, knowing your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
