How to trust Jesus' power daily?
What steps can we take to trust Jesus' power in our daily struggles?

Seeing His Power in Luke 8:36

“Meanwhile, those who had witnessed it reported how the demon-possessed man had been healed.”

The eyewitnesses couldn’t help but talk about what Jesus had just done—He spoke a word, and a legion of demons fled. Their report is our starting point for trusting His power in our own battles.

Remember What He Has Already Done

• Review past victories—Scripture and personal.

 – Israel’s Red Sea rescue (Exodus 14:13-14).

 – David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45-47).

 – Your own answered prayers.

• Fix on the unchanging truth: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8).

Bring Every Struggle Into His Presence

• Name the issue aloud in prayer; honesty invites His intervention (Psalm 62:8).

• Picture laying it at His feet, just as the demoniac knelt before Him (Luke 8:28).

• Refuse self-reliance; “apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Replace Fear With Faith

• The townspeople begged Jesus to leave because they were afraid (Luke 8:37).

• Choose the opposite response:

 – Meditate on Isaiah 41:10—“Do not fear, for I am with you.”

 – Speak faith out loud; faith grows when heard (Romans 10:17).

Stay Near His Word

• Daily reading keeps His authority fresh in mind.

• Memorize verses that target your struggle—e.g., anxiety: Philippians 4:6-7.

• Let Scripture set the narrative instead of feelings.

Obey the Next Clear Step

• Jesus told the healed man, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” (Luke 8:39).

• Act on the light you have; obedience cements trust.

• Small steps—apology, generosity, rest—prove His power in ordinary life.

Share the Story

• Talking about His works multiplies confidence (Psalm 145:4-6).

• Keep a running list of fresh testimonies; recount them to family and friends.

• Your story becomes someone else’s invitation to trust Him.

Rest in His Complete Authority

• Spiritual, emotional, physical realms all submit to Him (Colossians 1:17).

• Nothing you face is outside “the One who commands even the winds and the water” (Luke 8:25).

• End each day acknowledging His sovereignty: “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power.” (1 Chronicles 29:11).

Step by step—remembering, bringing, replacing, staying, obeying, sharing, resting—we learn to lean on the same mighty Savior who set a captive free in Luke 8, and who stands ready to prove His power in every struggle we meet today.
