Other Scriptures on God's care?
Which other Scriptures emphasize God's provision and care for His people?

Clothed by the Creator

Luke 12:28: “If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith!”

Jesus uses grass—temporary and fragile—to prove the Father’s commitment to meet every true need of His children. Scripture repeats this theme from Genesis to Revelation.

Provision in Israel’s Early Journey

Exodus 16:4 – “Behold, I will rain down bread from heaven for you.”

Exodus 17:6 – “I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.”

Deuteronomy 29:5 – “I led you forty years in the wilderness; your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet.”

Miraculous Supply in Everyday Life

1 Kings 17:14 – “The jar of flour will not be exhausted and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the face of the earth.”

2 Kings 4:6 – “When the vessels were full, she said to her son, ‘Bring me another.’ But he replied, ‘There is not one left.’ Then the oil stopped flowing.”

Promises Sung in the Psalms

Psalm 23:1–2 – “The LORD is my shepherd; I will not be in need. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.”

Psalm 34:10 – “The young lions go lacking and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.”

Psalm 37:25 – “I was young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous abandoned or his children begging bread.”

Wisdom That Calms Anxiety

Proverbs 10:3 – “The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but He thwarts the craving of the wicked.”

Lamentations 3:22–23 – “Because of the LORD’s loving devotion we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!”

Echoes in Jesus’ Teaching

Matthew 6:26 – “Look at the birds of the air: they do not sow or reap or gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”

Matthew 10:29–31 – “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father… So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

John 10:11 – “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

Certainty Reinforced by the Cross

Romans 8:32 – “He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?”

Daily Confidence for the Church

Philippians 4:6–7 – “Be anxious for nothing… and the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19 – “My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

1 Peter 5:7 – “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”

Hebrews 13:5 – “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you, nor will I forsake you.’”

James 1:17 – “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.”

Living Out the Promise

God’s track record is flawless: manna in the wilderness, oil that never runs dry, lilies dressed in splendor, sparrows kept in flight, and sinners redeemed at the cross. Because He has already met our greatest need in Christ, we can trust Him with every lesser one—today, tomorrow, and for eternity.

How can we apply the lesson of Luke 12:28 to daily anxieties?
