Anchoring Verse: God, Our Strength and Shield

Psalm 28:7

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.”

David’s confession sets the tone: God is not just powerful; He personally covers, carries, and gladdens the trusting heart. Scripture repeats this theme again and again, inviting us to rest under the same shield.

Living the Truth: Resting Under the Shield

1. Trust actively—let your heart “lean” on Him as David’s did.

2. Speak it—declare His protection aloud; Scripture’s pattern shows confession builds confidence.

3. Sing it—songs of deliverance were Israel’s first response; they still steady modern hearts.

4. Stand in it—armor up (Ephesians 6) and step forward, knowing the same everlasting arms hold you.

The thread is unmistakable: from Red Sea shores to the New Jerusalem, God’s people have one unfailing source of strength and protection—Himself.
