Ways to reconcile others to God today?
How can we actively participate in reconciling others to God today?

Reconciliation in God’s Plan

- “God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19)

- The Father’s settled purpose is to bring people back into fellowship through the finished work of His Son (Ephesians 2:13-16; Colossians 1:19-22).

- Because this work is accomplished in Christ, we are free to offer real, total forgiveness to anyone who will believe.

Our Calling as Ambassadors

- “Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

- Ambassadors speak and act on behalf of their King; our lives must accurately reflect His character and His message.

- The Great Commission personalizes the assignment (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

Living the Message

- Pursue visible holiness so the gospel is not contradicted (Philippians 2:14-16).

- Maintain relational peace and quick forgiveness, showing what reconciliation looks like (Ephesians 4:31-32).

- Practice joyful gratitude; a reconciled heart attracts questions (Colossians 3:15-17).

Speaking the Message

- Share the gospel plainly: “Christ died for our sins…He was raised” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

- Use Scripture; the Word carries divine power (Romans 10:17; Hebrews 4:12).

- Be prepared “to give an answer to everyone who asks” (1 Peter 3:15), tailoring language to the listener without trimming truth.

- Invite a response—repentance and faith are urgent, not optional (Acts 17:30-31).

Serving in Love

- Meet tangible needs—food, help, companionship—so people can feel God’s kindness (Galatians 6:10; James 2:15-16).

- Welcome outsiders into your home and gatherings; hospitality opens hearts (Romans 12:13).

- Stand for justice and mercy in your community; deeds confirm words (Micah 6:8).

Depending on the Spirit

- Pray for open doors and clarity (Colossians 4:3-4).

- Trust the Spirit to convict of sin and reveal Christ (John 16:8-11).

- Rely on His power rather than your persuasiveness (1 Corinthians 2:3-5).

Encouragement to Keep Going

- The message works: “the gospel…is the power of God for salvation” (Romans 1:16).

- Success is measured by faithfulness, not visible results (1 Corinthians 4:2).

- One day every reconciled believer will stand as proof that your labor in the Lord was never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
