– Banking on money to protect and satisfy.

– Trusting algorithms and devices more than divine wisdom.

Psalm 127:1 reminds that unless the LORD builds, labor is in vain.

• Entertainment & Celebrity Culture

– Fixating on influencers, athletes, artists.

The Cost of These Substitutes

• They cannot save in crisis (Jeremiah 2:28).

• They rob God of the glory due His name (Exodus 20:3).

• They harden hearts and invite discipline (1 Samuel 12:20-25).


The Better King

• Jesus Christ, “the blessed and only Sovereign” (1 Timothy 6:15).

• He rescues from sin and death (Colossians 1:13-14).

• His kingdom will never end, unlike every earthly system (Daniel 7:14).
