Their descendants will be known among the nations,

Israel’s restoration will be visible beyond its own borders. Though the nation endured exile, oppression, and reproach, the Lord promises that its children will again possess an honored place among the peoples of the earth. The promise recalls God’s covenant with Abraham, whose descendants were to become a great nation and a channel of blessing to all families of the earth (Genesis 12:2–3). Israel’s future prominence will testify that the Lord has remained faithful to His covenant.

All who see them will acknowledge

The nations will not be able to dismiss the evidence of God’s work among Israel. Their renewed life, security, righteousness, and joy will reveal the hand of the Lord. What Israel could never accomplish by political strength or military power, God will accomplish by His grace, causing the world to recognize His faithfulness.

that they are a people the LORD has blessed.

Their honor will arise from the Lord’s covenant favor, not human achievement. The blessing promised to Abraham finds its fullest source in the Messiah, through whom blessing reaches the nations (Galatians 3:14). Believers in Christ share in the spiritual blessings of God’s covenant grace, yet Israel’s promised restoration remains a witness that the Lord keeps His word to the people He has chosen.
