Once again Jesus called the crowd to Him

Jesus turned from His confrontation with the Pharisees and scribes to address the wider multitude. Religious leaders had criticized His disciples over ceremonial handwashing, but Jesus brought the matter before ordinary people because the truth concerned every worshiper of God. Jesus demanded the attentive hearing that leads to obedience.
