Israel groaned under Pharaoh’s bondage, and God heard their cry and acted to deliver them (Exodus 2:23–25). Such suffering points to humanity’s need for the returning King, Jesus Christ, who will judge wickedness, establish righteousness, and remove sorrow from His redeemed people (Revelation 19:11–16; 21:4).
