3. Embrace of Falsehood:
The wicked not only reject truth but also embrace falsehood. In Jeremiah 9:5 , it is written, "Each one deceives his neighbor; no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning." This passage illustrates the habitual nature of lying among the wicked, further emphasizing their destitution of truth.

4. Corruption and Injustice:
The absence of truth in the lives of the wicked leads to corruption and injustice. Isaiah 59:14-15 describes a society where "justice is turned back, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter. Truth is lacking, and whoever turns from evil becomes prey." This societal decay is a direct result of the wicked's rejection of truth.

5. Spiritual Blindness:
The wicked's destitution of truth results in spiritual blindness. In 2 Corinthians 4:4 , it is stated, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." This blindness prevents the wicked from recognizing and accepting the truth of the gospel.

Consequences for the Wicked:

The Bible warns of severe consequences for those who are destitute of truth. In Revelation 21:8 , it is declared, "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." This passage underscores the eternal judgment awaiting those who persist in falsehood and reject the truth of God.

The wicked's destitution of truth is a central theme in Scripture, serving as a stark warning of the spiritual and moral decay that results from rejecting God's truth. The Bible consistently calls for repentance and a return to the truth, offering redemption and restoration through faith in Jesus Christ, who declared, "I am the way and the truth and the life" (John 14:6).
