The Transfiguration 1And, after six days, Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart;
2and He was transfigured before them; and His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as the light.
3And, behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him.
4And Peter, answering, said to Jesus," Lord, it is good that we are here. If Thou wilt, I will make here three tents?one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
5While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I delighted; hear Him."
6And the disciples, hearing it, fell on their face, and were exceedingly afraid.
7And Jesus came near, and, touching them, said,
9And, as they were coming down out of the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, The Boy with a Demon 14And, when they came to the multitude, there approached Him a man, kneeling to Him, and saying,
15"Lord, have mercy on my son, because he is lunatic, and suffers grievously; for often he falls into the fire, and often into the water.
16And I brought him to Thy disciples, and they could not heal him."
17And Jesus, answering, said, The Power of Faith 19Then the disciples, coming near, said to Jesus privately, "Why could not we cast it out?"
20And He saith to them, The Second Prediction of the Passion 22And, while they were assembled together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Temple Tax 24And, when they came into Capernaum, those receiving the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, "Doth not your Teacher pay the half-shekel?"
