The Earth Is Yahweh’s

לְדָוִ֗ד (Of David) מִ֫זְמ֥וֹר (a Psalm).

1לַֽ֭יהוָה (Unto YHWH) הָאָ֣רֶץ (is the earth) וּמְלוֹאָ֑הּ (and its fullness)

תֵּ֝בֵ֗ל (the world), וְיֹ֣שְׁבֵי (and those dwelling) בָֽהּ׃ (in it).

2  כִּי־ (For) ה֭וּא (He) עַל־ (upon) יַמִּ֣ים (the seas) יְסָדָ֑הּ (has founded it),

וְעַל־ (and upon) נְ֝הָר֗וֹת (the rivers) יְכוֹנְנֶֽהָ׃ (He established it).

3  מִֽי־ (Who) יַעֲלֶ֥ה (will ascend) בְהַר־ (onto the hill) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH),

וּמִי־ (or who) יָ֝קוּם (will stand) בִּמְק֥וֹם (in the place) קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ (of His holiness)?

4  נְקִ֥י (The one clean) כַפַּ֗יִם (of hands) וּֽבַר־ (and pure) לֵ֫בָ֥ב (of heart),

אֲשֶׁ֤ר׀ (who) לֹא־ (not) נָשָׂ֣א (has lifted up) לַשָּׁ֣וְא (to vanity) נַפְשִׁ֑י (his soul),

וְלֹ֖א (and not) נִשְׁבַּ֣ע (has sworn) לְמִרְמָֽה׃ (by deceit).

5  יִשָּׂ֣א (He will lift up) בְ֭רָכָה (a blessing) מֵאֵ֣ת (from) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH),

וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה (and righteousness) מֵאֱלֹהֵ֥י (from the God) יִשְׁעֽוֹ׃ (of his salvation).

6  זֶ֭ה (This is) דּ֣וֹר (the generation) דֹּרְשׁוֹ (of those seeking Him),

מְבַקְשֵׁ֨י (those seeking) פָנֶ֖יךָ (Your face), יַעֲקֹ֣ב (O Jacob).

סֶֽלָה׃ (Selah)

7  שְׂא֤וּ (lift up), שְׁעָרִ֨ים׀ (O gates), רָֽאשֵׁיכֶ֗ם (your⁺ heads),

וְֽ֭הִנָּשְׂאוּ (and be lifted up), פִּתְחֵ֣י (O doors) עוֹלָ֑ם (ancient),

וְ֝יָב֗וֹא (shall come in) מֶ֣לֶךְ (the King) הַכָּבֽוֹד׃ (of Glory).

8  מִ֥י (Who is) זֶה֮ (this) מֶ֤לֶךְ (King) הַכָּ֫ב֥וֹד (of Glory)?

יְ֭הוָה (YHWH) עִזּ֣וּז (strong) וְגִבּ֑וֹר (and mighty),

יְ֝הוָ֗ה (YHWH) גִּבּ֥וֹר (mighty in) מִלְחָמָֽה׃ (battle).

9  שְׂא֤וּ (Lift up) שְׁעָרִ֨ים׀ (O gates), רָֽאשֵׁיכֶ֗ם (your⁺ heads),

וּ֭שְׂאוּ (and be lifted up), פִּתְחֵ֣י (O doors) עוֹלָ֑ם (ancient),

וְ֝יָבֹא (and shall come in) מֶ֣לֶךְ (the King) הַכָּבֽוֹד׃ (of glory).

10  מִ֤י (Who) ה֣וּא (is) זֶה֮ (this) מֶ֤לֶךְ (King) הַכָּ֫ב֥וֹד (of glory)?

יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) צְבָא֑וֹת (of Hosts),

ה֤וּא (He is) מֶ֖לֶךְ (the King) הַכָּב֣וֹד (of Glory).

סֶֽלָה׃ (Selah)
