Yahweh Is My Shepherd
(Ezekiel 34:11–24; John 10:1–21)

מִזְמ֥וֹר (A Psalm) לְדָוִ֑ד (of David).

1יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH is) רֹ֝עִ֗י (my shepherd);

לֹ֣א (nothing) אֶחְסָֽר׃ (shall I lack).

2  בִּנְא֣וֹת (In pastures) דֶּ֭שֶׁא (green) יַרְבִּיצֵ֑נִי (He makes me to lie down);

עַל־ (beside) מֵ֖י (waters) מְנֻח֣וֹת (of resting) יְנַהֲלֵֽנִי׃ (He guides me).

3  נַפְשִׁ֥י (My soul) יְשׁוֹבֵ֑ב (He restores);

יַֽנְחֵ֥נִי (He guides me) בְמַעְגְּלֵי־ (in the paths) צֶ֝֗דֶק (of righteousness)

לְמַ֣עַן (for the sake) שְׁמֽוֹ׃ (of His name).

4  גַּ֤ם (Even), כִּֽי־ (though) אֵלֵ֨ךְ (I may walk) בְּגֵ֪יא (in the valley) צַלְמָ֡וֶת (I will fear),

לֹא־ (no) אִ֘ירָ֤א (I shall fear) רָ֗ע (evil),

כִּי־ (for) אַתָּ֥ה (You are) עִמָּדִ֑י (with me);

שִׁבְטְךָ֥ (Your rod) וּ֝מִשְׁעַנְתֶּ֗ךָ (and Your staff), הֵ֣מָּה (they) יְנַֽחֲמֻֽנִי׃ (comfort me).

5  תַּעֲרֹ֬ךְ (You arrange) לְפָנַ֨י׀ (before me) שֻׁלְחָ֗ן (a table)

נֶ֥גֶד (in front) צֹרְרָ֑י (of my enemies);

דִּשַּׁ֖נְתָּ (You anoint) בַשֶּׁ֥מֶן (with the oil) רֹ֝אשִׁ֗י (my head);

כּוֹסִ֥י (my cup) רְוָיָֽה׃ (overflows).

6  אַ֤ךְ׀ (Surely) ט֤וֹב (goodness) וָחֶ֣סֶד (and mercy) יִ֭רְדְּפוּנִי (will pursue me)

כָּל־ (all) יְמֵ֣י (the days) חַיָּ֑י (of my life),

וְשַׁבְתִּ֥י (and I will dwell) בְּבֵית־ (in the house) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (of YHWH)

לְאֹ֣רֶךְ (for the length) יָמִֽים׃ (of days).
