Laws for Peace Offerings
(Leviticus 7:11–21)

1“ And if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it unblemished before the face of YHWH. 2And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar all around.

3And he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offerings a fire offering to YHWH: The fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them that is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys, which he shall remove. 5And the sons of Aaron shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt offering which is on the wood that is on the fire, as a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to YHWH.

6And if his offering is of the flock as a sacrifice of peace offerings to YHWH, male or female, he shall offer it unblemished.

7If he offers a lamb as his offering, then he shall offer it before the face of YHWH. 8And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it before the face of the Tent of Meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around.

9And he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offerings as a fire offering to YHWH its fat, the entire fat tail close to the backbone, which he shall remove, and the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails, 10and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them that is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys, which he shall remove. 11And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, a fire offering to YHWH.

12And if his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before the face of YHWH. 13And He shall lay his hand on its head and kill it before the face of the Tent of Meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around.

14And he shall offer from it his offering as a fire offering to YHWH, the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails, 15and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them that is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys, which he shall remove. 16And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, a fire offering for a pleasing aroma. All the fat is YHWH’s.

17This is an everlasting statute throughout your⁺ generations in all your⁺ dwellings: Any fat or any blood you⁺ shall not eat.”
