Laws for Peace Offerings
(Leviticus 7:11–21)

1“ And if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he is bringing near from the herd, whether male or female, he shall bring it near unblemished before the face of YHWH. 2And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and he shall slaughter it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar all around.

3And he shall bring near from the sacrifice of the peace offerings a fire offering to YHWH: The fat that is covering the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, that is on the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys, which he shall remove. 5And the sons of Aaron shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt offering which is on the wood that is on the fire, it is a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to YHWH.

6And if his offering is from the flock, for a sacrifice of peace offerings to YHWH, male or female, he shall bring it near unblemished.

7If he is bringing near a lamb as his offering, then he shall offer it before the face of YHWH. 8And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and he shall slaughter it before the face of the Tent of Meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around.

9And he shall bring near from the sacrifice of the peace offerings a fire offering to YHWH, its fat, the entire fat tail close to the backbone, he shall remove it, and the fat that is covering the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails, 10and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, that is on the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys, which he shall remove. 11And the priest shall burn it on the altar as food, a fire offering to YHWH.

12And if his offering is a goat, then he shall bring it near before the face of YHWH. 13And He shall lay his hand on its head, and he shall slaughter it before the face of the Tent of Meeting, and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around.

14And he shall bring near from it his offering, a fire offering to YHWH, the fat that is covering the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails, 15and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, that is on the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys, which he shall remove. 16And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, a fire offering for a pleasing aroma. All the fat belongs to YHWH.

17This is an everlasting statute throughout your⁺ generations in all your⁺ dwellings: Any fat and any blood you⁺ shall not eat.”
