The Guilt Offering 1“ And this is the law of the guilt offering: It is holy of holies.† 2In the place where they slaughter the burnt offering, they shall slaughter the guilt offering; and he shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around. 3And he shall bring near all its fat from it, the fat tail, and the fat that is covering the entrails, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them that is on the flanks, and the lobe of the liver above the kidneys—he shall remove it. 5And the priest shall burn them on the altar, a fire offering to YHWH; it is a guilt offering. 6Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is holy of holies; 7Like the sin offering, like the guilt offering; one law is for them. The priest who makes atonement with it, unto him it shall be. 8And the priest who brings near a burnt offering of a man—the skin of the burnt offering that he has brought near, it is for the priest, for him. 9And every grain offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is made in the pan† or on a griddle,†—it shall be for the priest who brings it near, for him. 10And every grain offering mixed with the oil, or dry, it shall be for all sons of Aaron, each man like his brother. The Peace Offering 11And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that he shall bring near to YHWH: 12If he brings it near for thanksgiving, then he shall bring it near with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with the oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with the oil, and well-mixed cakes of fine flour mixed with the oil. 13Upon the cakes, he shall bring near leavened bread as his offering with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. 14And he shall bring near from it one cake from each offering, a contribution to YHWH. For the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings, for him it shall be. 15And the flesh of the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offering, it shall be eaten on the day of its offering; he shall not leave from it until morning. 16And if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a freewill offering, in the day of his bringing near his sacrifice, it shall be eaten; and on the next day the remainder of it may be eaten; 17and the remainder from the flesh of the sacrifice in the third day must be burned in the fire. 18And if from the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten at all in the third day, it shall not be accepted for him who is bringing it near, nor shall it be reckoned to him. It shall be an abomination, and the soul who eats from it shall bear his iniquity. 19And the flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burned in the fire. And the flesh, every clean one shall eat flesh. 20And the soul who eats the flesh from the sacrifice of the peace offerings that is to YHWH, and his uncleanness is on him, that soul shall be cut off from his people. 21And if a soul touches any unclean thing—for uncleanness of man, or for an unclean animal, or for any unclean abomination—and he eats from the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offerings that is to YHWH, then that soul shall be cut off from his people.” Fat and Blood Forbidden 22And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 23“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Any fat of an ox, or sheep, or goat, you⁺ shall not eat. 24And the fat of a carcass, and the fat of a torn thing, may be used for any work; and eating. you⁺ shall not eat it 25For anyone eating fat from the beast of which he brings near, a fire offering to YHWH, then the soul eating shall be cut off from his people. 26And any blood you⁺ shall not eat in any of your⁺ dwellings, of the bird and of the beast. 27Any soul who eats any blood, then that soul shall be cut off from his people.’” The Priests’ Portion 28And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 29“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘He who is bringing near the sacrifice of his peace offerings to YHWH shall bring his offering to YHWH from the sacrifice of his peace offerings. 30His hands shall bring fire offerings to YHWH; the fat upon the breast he shall bring with the breast to wave it as a wave offering before the face of YHWH. 31And the priest shall burn the fat on the altar, and the breast shall be for Aaron and for his sons. 32And the right thigh you⁺ shall give as a contribution to the priest from the sacrifices of your⁺ peace offerings. 33The one from the sons of Aaron bringing near the blood of the peace offerings and the fat, to him shall be the right thigh for a portion. 34For the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution I have taken from the sons of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons for an everlasting statute from the sons of Israel.’” 35This is the anointing portion of Aaron and his sons from the fire offerings to YHWH on the day Moses presented† them to minister as priests to YHWH, 36which YHWH commanded to give to them on the day of his anointing them from the sons of Israel—an everlasting statute throughout their generations. 37This is the law for the burnt offering, for the grain offering, and for the sin offering, and for the guilt offering, and for the ordination offerings, and for the sacrifice of the peace offerings, 38that YHWH commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on the day of His commanding the sons of Israel to bring near their offerings to YHWH in the Wilderness of Sinai.
