Good News Translation
"These are all the laws that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you. Obey them in the land that you are about to enter and occupy.

Now this is the commandment—the statutes and the ordinances—that the LORD your God charged me to teach you to observe in the land that you are about to cross into and occupy,

The LORD told me to give you these laws and teachings, so you can obey them in the land he is giving you. Soon you will cross the Jordan River and take that land.
