Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, "Be quiet!" and he said to the waves, "Be still!" The wind died down, and there was a great calm.

And they feared exceedingly: and they said one to another: Who is this (thinkest thou) that both wind and sea obey him?…
Who troublest the depth of the sea, the noise of its waves. The Gentiles shall be troubled,
Thou rulest the power of the sea: and appeasest the motion of the waves thereof.
And he turned the storm into a breeze: and its waves were still.
And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up, he commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, sleeping upon a pillow; and they awake him, and say to him: Master, doth, it not concern thee that we perish?
And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Hold thy peace and go out of him. And when the devil had thrown him into the midst, he went out of him and hurt him not at all.
And they came and awaked him, saying: Master, we perish. But he arising, rebuked the wind and the rage of the water. And it ceased: and there was a calm.
