2 Corinthians 6
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
1And as helpers we beg of you that the grace of God that you received would not be wasted on you.

2For he said, “I have answered you in an acceptable time and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the acceptable time, and behold, now is the day of salvation.

3Why should you give any person an occasion of stumbling in anything? Otherwise it would be a defect in our ministry. 4But in everything we shall show ourselves to be Ministers of God: by much patience, by sufferings, by distresses, by imprisonments, 5In scourgings, in chains, in seditions, in toil, in vigils, in fasts, 6By purity, by knowledge, by endurance, by kindness, by The Spirit of Holiness, by love without deceit, 7By the message of the truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness that is on the right and on the left, 8By glory and by disgrace, by praise and by reproach, as if deceivers and true, 9As if unknown and we are known, as if we are dying, and behold, we live, as if we are punished and we are not dying, 10As if we sorrow and we always rejoice, as if poor and we make many rich, as if we have nothing and yet we possess everything.

11Our mouth is opened to you, Corinthians, and our heart is enlarged. 12You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your affections. 13But I speak as to children: “Pay me my remuneration which is with you, and enlarge your love to me.”

14Do not be associates with those who are unbelievers; for what partnership has righteousness with evil, or what intimacy has light with darkness? 15What harmony has The Messiah with Satan? What lot has a believer with an unbeliever?

16And what agreement does the Temple of God have with demons? But you are the Temple of THE LIVING GOD, just as it is said, “I shall dwell in them and I shall walk in them, and I shall be their God, and they shall be a people to me.”

17“Because of this, come out from among them and be separated from them, says THE LORD JEHOVAH, and you shall not touch the impure thing, and I shall receive you,”

18“And I shall be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says THE LORD JEHOVAH, The Almighty.”
