Job 26
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
And Job answered and said:

“Why are you a helper without power, and have you saved the arm without strength?

How have you counseled him who is without wisdom, and how much instruction have you made known?

To whom have you shown words and whose soul has proceeded from you?

Behold the Giants shall be killed and will be quieter than the waters

Sheol is naked before him and there is no covering for destruction

He has stretched out the North from the waste place and has suspended the Earth on nothing

He has bound the waters in his clouds and a cloud does not burst under them

He has seized on the face of the covering and spread a cloud over it

He drew a circle on the face of the waters, unto the ends of the light with the darkness

The pillars of Heaven shake and shall be astonished at his rebuke

By his power he rebukes the sea and in his wisdom he gives life to the multitude

By his Spirit he governs Heaven, and his hand killed the Serpent which fled

Behold these all are from the tip of his ways, and what evil statement has been heard about him, and the immensity of his heroism who comprehends?
