A song. A Psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my being.1My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being.
Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.2Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.
I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing Your praises among the peoples.3I will praise you, LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For Your loving devotion extends beyond the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.4For your faithful love is higher than the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory cover all the earth.5God, be exalted above the heavens, and let your glory be over the whole earth.
Respond and save us with Your right hand, that Your beloved may be delivered.6Save with your right hand and answer me so that those you love may be rescued.
God has spoken from His sanctuary: “I will triumph! I will parcel out Shechem and apportion the Valley of Succoth.7God has spoken in his sanctuary: "I will celebrate! I will divide up Shechem. I will apportion the Valley of Succoth.
Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is My helmet, Judah is My scepter.8Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is my helmet; Judah is my scepter.
Moab is My washbasin; upon Edom I toss My sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”9Moab is my washbasin; I throw my sandal on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia."
Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Have You not rejected us, O God? Will You no longer march out, O God, with our armies?11God, haven't you rejected us? God, you do not march out with our armies.
Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.12Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless.
With God we will perform with valor, and He will trample our enemies.13With God we will perform valiantly; he will trample our foes.
