| 1After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place He was about to visit. | 1After this, the Lord appointed 70 others, and He sent them ahead of Him in pairs to every town and place where He Himself was about to go. |
| 2And He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. | 21At that time Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
