| 2I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me. | 2I cry out for help to the sovereign God, to the God who vindicates me. |
| 3He reaches down from heaven and saves me; He rebukes those who trample me. Selah God sends forth His loving devotion and His truth. | 3May he send help from heaven and deliver me from my enemies who hurl insults! (Selah) May God send his loyal love and faithfulness! |
