| 1My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being. | 1My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart! |
| 2Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn. | 2Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. |
| 3I will praise you, LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. | 3I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. |
| 4For your faithful love is higher than the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. | 4For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. |
| 5God, be exalted above the heavens, and let your glory be over the whole earth. | 5Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth. |

| 10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? | 10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom? |
| 11God, haven't you rejected us? God, you do not march out with our armies. | 11Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies? |
| 12Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. | 12Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. |
| 13With God we will perform valiantly; he will trample our foes. | 13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. |
