Holman Christian Standard BibleBerean Standard Bible
A song of ascents. I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from? 1A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. 3He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber.
Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. 4Behold, the Protector of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. 5The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is the shade on your right hand.
The sun will not strike you by day or the moon by night. 6The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life. 7The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul.
The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever. 8The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.
