Psalm 121
HCSB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleInternational Standard Version
1A song of ascents. I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from? 1I lift up my eyes toward the mountains— from where will my help come?
2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 2My help is from the LORD, maker of heaven and earth.
3He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. 3He will never let your foot slip, nor will your guardian become drowsy.
4Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. 4Look! The one who is guarding Israel never sleeps and does not take naps.
5The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. 5The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your right side.
6The sun will not strike you by day or the moon by night. 6The sun will not ravage you by day, nor the moon by night.
7The LORD will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life. 7The LORD will guard you from all evil, preserving your life.
8The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever. 8The LORD will guard your goings and comings, from this time on and forever.
