Ephesians 3
HCSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
Holman Christian Standard BibleEnglish Standard Version
For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles--1For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—
you have heard, haven't you, about the administration of God's grace that He gave to me for you? 2assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above. 3how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.
By reading this you are able to understand my insight about the mystery of the Messiah.4When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,
This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: 5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 6This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace that was given to me by the working of His power. 7Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
This grace was given to me--the least of all the saints--to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of the Messiah, 8To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things.9and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,
This is so God's multi-faceted wisdom may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens.10so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
This is according to His eternal purpose accomplished in the Messiah, Jesus our Lord. 11This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
In Him we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
So then I ask you not to be discouraged over my afflictions on your behalf, for they are your glory. 13So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
For this reason I kneel before the Father14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, 16that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God's love,18may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the Messiah's love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us--20Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
