| 3He will never let your foot slip, nor will your guardian become drowsy. | 3He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. |
| 4Look! The one who is guarding Israel never sleeps and does not take naps. | 4Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. |
| 5The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your right side. | 5The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. |
