Psalm 66
KJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleEnglish Standard Version
To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:1Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.2sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!
Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.4All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah
Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.5Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.6He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him,
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.7who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:8Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,
Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.9who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.10For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.
Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.11You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs;
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.12you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.
I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,13I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you,
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.14that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.
I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.16Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.17I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:18If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.19But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.20Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!
