Psalm 66
KJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleInternational Standard Version
To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:1Shout praise to God all the earth!
Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.2Sing praise about the glory of his name. Make his praise glorious.
Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.3Say to God: "How awesome are your works! Because of your great strength your enemies cringe before you."
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.4The whole earth worships you. They sing praise to you. They sing praise to your name. Interlude
Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.5Come and see the awesome works of God on behalf of human beings:
He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.6He turned the sea into dry land. Israel crossed the river on foot; let us rejoice in him.
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.7He rules by his power forever, his eyes watching over the nations. Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Interlude
O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:8Bless our God, people, and let the sound of his praise be heard.
Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.9He gives us life and does not permit our feet to slip.
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.10For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver.
Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.11You have led us into a trap and set burdens on our backs.
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.12You caused men to ride over us. You brought us through fire and water, but you led us to abundance.
I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,13I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.14that my lips uttered and that my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat, along with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams. I will offer bulls along with goats. Interlude
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.16Come and listen, all of you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.17I called aloud to him and praised him with my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:18Were I to cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen to me.
But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.19Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers.
Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.20Blessed be God, who did not turn away my prayers nor his gracious love from me.
