International Standard Version
1
A Song of degrees. Blessed
is
every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
1
How blessed are all who fear the LORD as they follow in his ways.
2
For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy
shalt
thou
be
, and
it shall be
well with thee.
2
You will eat from the work of your hands; you will be happy, and it will go well for you.
3
Thy wife
shall be
as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
3
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children like olive shoots surrounding your table.
4
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
4
See how the man will be blessed who fears the LORD.
5
The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
5
May the LORD bless you from Zion, and may you observe the prosperity of Jerusalem every day that you live!
6
Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children,
and
peace upon Israel.
6
And may you see your children's children! Peace be on Israel!
