Colossians 3
NASB Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
New American Standard Bible 1995Berean Study Bible
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.1Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.5Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience,6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them.7When you lived among them, you also used to walk in these ways.
But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.8But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices,9Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,
and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him--10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free, but Christ is all and is in all.
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;12Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.13Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.14And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.16Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.17And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.18Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.19Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.20Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart.21Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.
Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.22Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only to please them while they are watching, but with sincerity of heart and fear of the Lord.
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,23Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.24because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.25Whoever does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.
