Ephesians 3
NASB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles--1For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—
if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace which was given to me for you;2assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief.3how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.
By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,4When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,6This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God's grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.7Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,8To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things;9and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,
so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.10so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,11This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.13So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,15from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,16that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,18may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,20Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
